My passion for fitness started at a young age, fueled by my involvement in sports. I was always interested in sports, playing hockey in the winter and baseball in the summer. My love for competitive hockey led me to explore resistance training, sparking my interest in the complexities of the human body. This curiosity guided me through an undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences at Western University, where I majored in Physiology and Medical Cell Biology. My studies enhanced my understanding of the human body at the molecular level and led me to pursue a Master's in Neuroscience.
My studies have taught me that biology, psychology, and sociology influence health and well-being and that physical fitness is just one aspect of overall well-being. I believe in nurturing the mind as vigorously as the body and staying current with the latest scientific research on health and fitness.
Outside academia, I am an avid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete, currently holding a blue belt after three years of training. My diverse interests include snowboarding, playing guitar, experimenting with new recipes, and most importantly, cherishing quality time with family and friends.
